I was recently recommended a book I was told I’ll “just love”. Despite the fearsome length of the book I decided to give it a try so as not to offend the person who thought he knew me that well. The Pillars of the Earth is mainly referred to as a historic novel but history is more of a background than an essence so those who find historical pieces of literature boring, will surprisingly fall for this one
